About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team at Use-Ta! in Brunswick, VIC. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience and contributing to the success of our retail store. This is a four-day-per-week part-time position, working Wednesday through Saturday (9:45 am to 5 pm, with the option of finishing at 3 pm).

What you'll be doing:

• Providing bubbly, friendly and engaging customer service.

• Suggesting items that suit customer needs, to sustain our sales targets.

• Operating our POS system.

• Fulfilling online orders.

• Managing queries from customers and consignors.

• Stock processing, inventory tagging.

• Visual merchandising.

• Uploading items to our website.

• Posting daily on our social media channels.  

• Light cleaning.

• Settling the till at the end of the day.

What we're looking for:

• Previous customer service or retail experience, preferably in a sales role.

• An interest in sustainability, fashion and the circular economy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, including parents and children.

• A desire to build community.

• Ability to work well in a team, as well as solo.

• Attention to detail in every area.

• Reliability, punctuality and organisational skills.

• Familiarity with Shopify, Instagram and various POS and EFTPOS platforms, or an aptitude to learn.
